Did you know that the Academy Awards process actually starts November 30th, 2012?

Here is the rundown on the events leading up to the Feb 14th Awards Presentation:
Nominations begin Dec 17
Ballots due Jan 3
Nominations announced Jan 10, 2013
Annual Oscar nominees luncheon Feb 4
Final voting Feb. 8 to Feb. 19
Scientific and Technical Awards presentation Feb. 9.
The 85th annual Academy Awards will be presented Sunday, Feb  24, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast live on ABC.
This year they are adding on-line voting (for those Academy members who qualify to vote).
So for those of you who get to vote for your favorite actors and movies, here is your chance to go see these movies and then vote online.
As for the rest of us, let’s have our own voting parties and pick the ones we feel should get the Oscars!
