Whether recyclable, biodegradable, or cleanly manufactured, these materials can be purchased upon request.
Vinyl material is made of plastic (PVC) and is not eco-friendly. PVC is used in such products as shampoo bottles, shower curtains, toys and many building materials. You will find it in flooring, siding and on coverings of electrical wires in houses. It is very difficult to recycle. This type of plastic has a lifespan of hundreds of years, which means that it will be in landfills long after we are gone.
All of our fabric backdrops are eco-friendly, however, we offer these specific sustainable materials for a higher standard of earth-friendly products:

ULTRACOTTON® S370
Natural fiber that is earth safe and recyclable
UltraCotton® S370 is an 11 oz., 100% woven cotton with a water-based coating. The
heavy canvas-like texture and crease-free characteristics make it ideal for art
reprographics, theatrical backdrops and tradeshow events. The natural cotton material
is recyclable and biodegradable and is recommended for indoor use only. Available in
widths from 98” – 198”.
GREEN SAMBA
Wow, this material is made from recycled yarn and recycled plastic water bottles!
If you are looking for an eco-friendly material for your backdrops and signage, this is the way to go! This material is made of 100% recyclable polyester.
The Green Samba is ultra water-repellent! One of the features of this material is its “lotus effect”, this means it’s really hard to get wet, and it has a self-cleaning property similar to the lotus plant.
The lotus effect is a generic term that is used to mimic the properties of certain plants. These plants have a surface that is not made wet by water. Water droplets glide over the surface without leaving a trace of humidity. Moreover, the water droplets take dirt particles on their way, thereby creating a self-cleaning effect.
We can provide you with a fire-resistance certification for this material.
